Advice For Yoga Aspirants

Before the start of asana classes, it is necessary to practice with an empty stomach and bowels. Make a habit of emptying your bladder and bowels in the morning before coming to your first class. If you`ve eaten a meal, then you must wait 3-4 hours before any asana practice. You may have a cup of tea, milk or water. The consumption of food prior to any yogic practice may lead to organ disruption and sickness. In the morning, students are required to be present in their first class only after their tongue, teeth, face and body have been thoroughly cleaned. Avoid showering right after practicing asanas. Give at least an hour for your body to cool down and sweat to dry out. Practice on a clean, smooth and hard surface to avoid any injuries. Also avoid wearing any jewelry or metal on your body as they may cause injury while practicing asanas. Less chatting and more practice will help you to be more physically and mentally present in the class. Devote yourself and your time to yoga with calmness and silence. If you feel dizzy or uncomfortable during any asana practice, always lie down into Savasana pose for a while which will help your body recover from fatigue.
