On Completion of our 500 Hour Yoga Teacher Training Course, you will be Certified as a Yoga Teacher with the possibility to teach anywhere in the world.
When you sign up for our 500 hour Yoga Teacher Training program, you are signing up for 200 hours and 300 hours combined. This will require discipline but your hard work will pay off when you take your first steps as a newly graduated yoga teacher. We will assist you throughout the entire process of the program, and our amazing teachers are here to answer your questions and guide you.
Our Yoga Teacher Training will help to expand your knowledge and experience in life changing ways. Living an authentic yogic lifestyle in our ashram will help bring you deeper inside yourself to discover your inner yogi.
Programs will begin with a ceremony conducted by our priests to welcome you on your new journey. At the end of the program we will finalize with a ceremony to see you rejoin the world as a yoga teacher. In between, will be your opportunity to study, learn and work hard.
Our teachers have years of experience teaching yoga and some are also registered with Yoga Alliance USA. In order to ensure each student receives the best quality and assistance, we have kept the size of each class to a maximum of 20 students. We also provide two teachers for each asana (posture) class, which to our knowledge no other yoga teacher training school in Rishikesh provides. We do this because we understand the needs of our students for individual attention and support as students are often coming from various physical levels.
On completion of our 500 Hour Yoga Teacher Training, you may apply for a 28 Day Internship. At this moment we will only accept one student per month and on discretion of our board. Internship includes duties which support your overall transformation towards a yogic life. You will be given a Certificate for your internship upon its successful completion.

500 HOUR Yoga Teacher Training India – Timetable
Classes will begin at 6.00 am and end at 21.00 pm. Meals are included and there will be some free time provided for self-study and relaxation during the day. Your days will be busy as our classes are designed to ensure that you are receiving 500 HOURs of training. Because of this, 95 percent attendance is a must.
Daily timetable will include pranayama and cleansing techniques, posture and alignment classes, mantra chanting, teaching methodology, meditation as well as lectures in philosophy and anatomy.
Three yogic meals are provided each day which includes tea, fruit and vegetables. Your study time is your free time, but we suggest you to use it wisely by reading your material and practicing as much as possible.

Requirements For Registration In 500 HOUR Teacher Training Course
Our school accepts all applications from beginners to advanced level practitioners. You are expected to be disciplined, willing to learn and be devoted to your teacher training course. No prior knowledge or experience is required but we highly recommend you read the origin of yoga and asana names (in Sanskrit) before coming. We also recommend practicing a vegetarian diet for at least one week before you arrive to allow your body time to adapt to our diet.
At Vishnu Yoga Shala, English is the main language used for teaching and as a mode of communication between teachers and students. Sanskrit will be used for the names of the asanas, in meditation, mantra chanting and in terms or phrases of Vedic texts.
Your application will be accepted after we receive and review it. Applications are subject to availability of space for the requested month. The earlier you apply, the better are your chances to secure your seat for the course. People with little or no knowledge of English are also welcome to join us because yoga is about the spiritual connection of our body and soul.

- If your application is accepted, you will need to the pay the booking fee or full course fee in order to hold your space.

Payments
- We accept online payments by PayPal, Bank transfer, Western Union and cash payments on arrival in USD, British Pounds, Euros or Indian Rupees. We do not accept any traveller cheques, debit or credit card payments at this time but you may use the nearby ATMs to withdraw cash in INR in Rishikesh.
- You have the option of only paying the booking fee on approval of application, with remainder to be paid on arrival at the school. Or you may make one full payment of all course fees at the time of application approval. Either payment is sufficient to secure your space in the course.
- For payments made in other currencies except USD – exchange rate will be calculated on the same day when you pay your booking fee or the amount due on arrival. No previous or historical rates will be allowed when the dates have passed. We recommend to use xe.com to calculate current exchange rates.
Visa & Travel Insurance
In order to visit India, every foreign national needs to apply for an Indian visa. The best option is to apply for a tourist visa which is usually valid for 3 months or more. Processing times vary but can take up to 2-3 weeks. You may also check the e-visa process online of your nearest Indian consulate.
We highly recommend purchasing travel insurance and health insurance for your trip. Although Rishikesh is considered a safe city for foreigners it is still advisable to carry health and travel insurance in case of emergency.

Vishnu Yoga Shala 500 HOUR certifications are approved by Yoga Alliance USA. On successful completion of the 500 HOUR Yoga Teacher Training course you will receive a certificate of completion. After which you will be certified to teach yoga anywhere in the world.
